Neat Keys on the Keyboard: The Home Key...

So I have to admit that I am something of a throwback.
All of the fancy new keyborad shortcuts that people use for things are lost on me. I never had them when I was a kid, and they just aren't taking - even today.
I've been struggling to learn how to do something with my shiny new text editor at work (Notepad ++, if you must know) And I was sitting in my bosses office helping edit some HTML.
The story here is that he always asks me what text editor I use (I do switch them out occasionally to test new ones) and is always playing the catch up game when I switch mine around.
So we're sitting there editing our little HTML document, and these are the words that come out of my mouth: "Maybe you can show me something that I cant figure out: How do you move the insertion point to the end of a line?"
My boss looked at me aghast! "You use this key on keyboard labelled 'End'."
I sat there for a moment dumbfounded by my own lack of creativity, and attention to the keyboard in front of me.
It then ocurred to me: I was trained on keyboards in the '80's!.
By this time my boss and I were having a good chuckle over this, but here's what I said, and we both bust out laughing:
I said: "Dave, the '70's called... They want their keyboard back..."
I guess you had to be there, but it was hilarious!
My boss noted that there are several other useful keys, 'Home' being one of them...

You know I've pushed that button, "home" numerous times and it's NEVER worked. After pushing it, and giving my system a respectful 30 seconds to complete the command I end up still at my keyboard at work. Maybe I need a new driver? I'll search the forums.
